Personally, i like demerini because it has a reaction that is like a trampoline when a ball hits it. They cost a lot though, try Omaha TPX or Louisville Slugger. When you go to pick your bat, make sure it fits you. Also, don't get anything to heavy, to test this, hold the bat with one hand ( for lefties, right hand, riteies, left hand), and make a horizontal line. Keep it straight for 40 seconds, if you can, it's the right weight. If not, don't get it, you wont be able to generate good bat speed. Good Luck.

Personally because im not a large individual i prefer the metal bat. However if your trying to develop your game and have proper mechanics. Theres a company in West Virginia that made somthing called a metal/wood bat. From the hadle to to close to the beginning of the barrel is metal but the rest is wood. teaches you to hit in proper places and if you dont the ball wont go anywhere. Great practice tool!
