I'm looking for the definitive dimensions of a legal Little League bat. In our rules it states that the barrel of the bat can not be more than 2 1/4 inches in diameter. There are several kids that have Little League Approved bats with the Little League stamp that the barrel measures 2 5/8 inches. Can someone direct me to the rules that state that the diameters of the bats in the Little League Rule Book.

for little league, the max diameter should only be 2 1/4 inches. for junior league and up, its 2 5/8 inches. should be under batter section of the little league rule book. hope this helps ya

That decision is left up to the individual organization, and if your league rules state that they cannot be more that 2 1/4 inches, then the 2 5/8 inch bats are indeed illegal.
