Hi i have a question?I am getting back into ASA (SlowPitch) softball (I havent been on a team for like 10 years)..and i am looking for (The Best Legal Bat)Thats out right now..I am 6/3 weigh 220 lbs..looking for one i can hit it out with or where it just Sails off the bat..I used a Miken Maniac 282 (Grean Bat) at practice and i was sailing them out there nicest bat i have ever used..So i am thinking there must be a better one..Can you give me an ideal on what is the best bat to get i am sure you have used alot of bats..I have been told the Demarini Juggernaut , New Miken Recoil , So far..I have 400.00 To spend on a new bat Looking for just one awsome bat..Thanks!!!

I personally find the Easton Synergy Extended (the red printing, not the new 08 model) to be an excellent bat with a large sweet spot.

I also have a Worth JHM798 and the soon to be banned Easton Synergy 2 and I prefer the Extended.I get more distance and therefore more homers with it.

The Extended is only $200 but they are out of last years Extended at softballfans.You can still get it by searching around.

The best bat for you is always the one with which you feel most comfortable. After all, it's the archer, not the bow.

I would try using other people's bats or go to the cage or a store and try to get a feel for a bat. I would not order it online before even swinging it. If you use Youtube they have alot of reviews for many currents bats for this year.Give it a try.

I would buy a Synergy Flex and stay away from the Mikins.

For ASA I would go with either an Easton Stealth Comp, Worth Mutant98 or Worth Mayhem M798. The Easton and Mutant are multi-piece bats ( composite handle with a separate composite barrel). The Mutant has a lot of flex when you swing it, so it may throw your timing off a bit until you are used to the funny swing. The Mayhem is a one piece balanced bat. All three are great bats for ASA and The Easton is the most expensive @ around $350. You can always find better deals on-line though. Hope this helps.
