Im 16 and junior in high school right now. i am a pitcher and have 2 years of high school varsity under my belt already. i was wondering how likely it is for me to get noticed. my coaches dont really help me get scouted and never take us to any clinics or recruiting camps. these are my "stats" or bio rather: |

i mean for what you say you have good stuff i can't exactly say because i'd have to see how your placement is cause no matter how good you are placement is the biggest part of pitching. i am thinking though since you still have a couple years of highschool left you have some time to make a name for yourself and get noticed and maybe ask some people i don't know of any camps but i know that you obviously have potential and hope you make a career for yourself If you run up the numbers, the scouts will be there. They have people who get paid to find players and they know how to do it. Your junior year is the most important year in the recruiting process. You need to send e-mails or tapes of you playing to the schools you are interested in playing at. You can try to find showcases around your area or in your state, those are big events that a lot of colleges will attend. A lot of people ask this kind of question and my response is that it always looks good on paper, but you have to play the game in front of my eyes to really see what you have. go to college!!!!!!! I hate to be the bringer of bad news but very few people make the big leagues. I know 100 people that have the same basic stats and they play beer league softball now. College is a great place to get discovered, and you have something to fall back on if not. Also, if you are that good college should be free. GOOD LUCK though. |
