In the fall of 2008 im planning on playing baseball for a college in the NAIA league.?

the college which im going to is in the NAIA.i was wondering if scouts from the NCAA only looks and goes to game of players from NCAA or NJCAA. because i was wondering if i can get a scolarship from a division 1 or division 2 school by scouts watching me or do i have to go to their camps and tryout. has anyone ever came from NAIA to division 1 NCAA and went to the MLB?

Jonathan Sanchez LHP of the San Francisco Giants went to Ohio Dominican, a NAIA school outside of Columbus, Ohio. He is one of the Giants top prospects and has a bright future.

Baseball is one of those sports that if you're good enough, they'll find you. Of course, you would have a better shot playing for a NCAA Division I school, but MLB teams have extensive scouting systems. The draft is something like 75 rounds. Each team has 5 or 6 minor league affiliates. That means that in any given season there are about 5,000 guys playing minor league baseball.

If you put up numbers, the scouts will find you, no matter where you play.

I'm sure there have been a few players who transferred from NAIA schools to Division 1 schools. They won't go around scouting for transfers from NAIA schools if they're four year schools, which most are. If you sent them some videos of yourself and they were impressed enough, they might send someone around.

I don't think there are any major leaguers from NAIA schools, but I can think of at least one, John Cerutti, who was from a Division 3 school.
