NBA did launched the Women's NBA or WNBA in 1997 as this league is successful. I think that MLB should have a best chance to launch the women softball league; the league would name MLS (Major League Softball) ro WMLS (Women Major League Softball). MLB don't need the expansion of teams because they has enough teams at 30 as don't want mistake for expansion again to 32 teams in future.

Most women know how to playing the softball now as in camps, teams as high school and college, and etc as international teams. Since girls are playing in Little League for first time in 1974. Now the Little League has two organizations as baseball and softball.

actually, i think they should launch a women's baseball league(with a smaller field though). im sure there are a lot of women who would want to make it to the higher and more competetive levels of baseball, but just cant beat the competiton with the men. with a field that has a 50-55 foot mound, and 80ft bases, and maybe a 310-350ft(distance from home to fence) fence, an all women's league would be very competetive. i believe that it would be popular- i mean, women playing baseball... and it would be all for the love of the game, there would be less money issues and off the field problems.

I think the expansion would be great, especially for women. The College players (women) who are so good, end thier careers so short.

I think thats a good idea. It would give women a chance to play in a league that is recognized worl wide for it's baseball. However because baseball is such a sentimantal sport for people, and beacause it is so much about tradition, i wouldnt expect it to have nearly as much popularity. Still I think that would be a great addition! Does anyone know if its been considered?

listen i'm not sexist in the slightest, but the WNBA is a joke and like half its fans are lesbos. no, i think a WMLS is a terrible idea. people watch sports because they like to see them being played at their highest quality- and since women are (in no fault through their own, and in no way does this make them inferior as people) inferior physically to men, their quality of play in sports is just not as good as men.
