wondering what other baseball players use to keep catcher's equipment clean, like mask (goalie style) and pads.

dust it off after every use, and keep them together in a catchers bag...dust off the catchers bag as well, making sure no dirt gets inside the bag. Shinguards probably might need a scrubbing every once in a while..the mask shouldnt get too dirty.

1.clean it (yourself, or if it is really filthy get a professional).
2.do not get it filthy in the first place
3.if you have the money get another one if one gets that bad
