WHAT do u think of the switch pitcher in SI?

He was in one of the oppening pictures HE EVEN HAS A SWITCH GLOVE!

I have to first say: what? Switch hitting should be banned???!!! Why, for god's sake? As for switch throwing, I can hardly wait for this guy to make it to the majors. There has never before been a full-time switch thrower. Think of the possibilities. He could perhaps pitch left-handed today and right-handed tomorrow and start 70 games a season. He could perhaps throw 400 innings a year. He might need Tommy John surgery and still pitch in 50 or 60 games as a reliever with his other arm. This is just scratching the surface. Wow. It will be really cool.

Completely unfair. Just like switch-hitting should be banned.

So did the ambidextrous Greg Harris. I put it that way Bessie there was another pitcher, also named Greg Harris, who was his contemporary.

Two pitchers have pitched with both hands in actual games in MLB history

The ambidextrous Greg Harris did pitch left-handed once, while with the Expos, and in a home game. Do you remember the area behind the plate at The Big O, the area with the glass? On his first left-handed pitch in the majors, Harris was a bit wild, and broke that glass.

Harris was not the first man to pitch with both arms in the major leagues, but he was the first in the "modern" era. This is the entry from the 1st edition of "Total Baseball"

July 18, 1882
Ambidextrous hurler Tony Mullane of Louisville pitches with both hands in a major league game at Baltimore. Normally a righthander, Mullane switches to the left hand in the fourth inning. He does quite well for several innings but eventually loses to Baltimore, 9-8.

What do I think? Nothing, yet. Being a draft pick is meaningless, in and of itself. He hasn't yet proven anything at a professional level, let alone in MLB.
