it's really a personal thing. somethings batting gloves can help absorb the shock you get sometimes from hitting a baseball wrong, and sometimes it does nothing. but since you got a new stealth, you should be fine. its totally up to you. are you comfortable w/out b. gloves? are you imperivous to blisters? it's normally just a person preference. i wear batting gloves, but i never velcro them shut until i get until the plate. its just one of those things.... keep in mind grip. is the bat sliding out of your hands when you swing? but think about it. jorge posada never uses b. gloves. i guess you could try a pair out for a couple of games, and if you don't like it, return it or give it to a teamate or brother or watever. |

yeah it gives you a better grip, and sometimes when you hit the ball if it's going decently fast it hurts your hands a little bit, so batting gloves protect your hands and feels better on the grip. It's really you're personal preference. I use batting gloves to get a better grip on the bat. Oh, and if its cold outside gloves also help.... Yes they improve your grip! Give the gloves a try/then you answer i think so because well for me i cant swing a bat w/o batting gloves. they give you a better grip and they hurt by hands if i dont wear them. but i suppose if you are not used to wearing them it might not make a difference so when i bat i only use a right handed glove (im a right handed hitter), i hold the bat tighter wqith my right and that causes me to get blisters on my right hand so thats the only reason y i use them, and also when most ppl run the bases they liek to hold them in the hands so they dont jam fingers, just a add bounes. most ppl only use for blisters and grip |
