| How many career hits will the Seattle Mariners centerfielder Ichiro Suzuki have when he's done? Also, will |

he make the Hall of Fame? So far in his 7 year MLB career, the 33 year old Ichiro has 1,510 hits and is a career .343 hitter, and has 6 gold gloves in center and right field. He recently signed a 5 year extension with the Mariners through 2012 for 90 million, and he said he wants to play 5 more years after that, so that is 10 more seasons, so, 17 total. I believe he will retire in 2017 at the age of 43, with 3,541 career hits, and a .330 career BA and with 13 gold gloves. And will be a first ballot Hall of Famer in 2023, what do you think? There is no reason why Ichiro can't average around 200 hits per season for the next 10 years. First off, this guy doesn't smoke or drink or do drugs, he is in amazing shape, he's 5'9" 170. He's just in great shape, he'll definitely be a first ballad, get your head our of your you know what... |

4257. (And that's just in MLB; with his career in NPB, that'd put him at a whopping 5535.) |

I DEFINATELY AGREE he'll easily get 3000. How many more he gets after that would only be blind prediction regardless if he hits 3,000 or not, he'll be in the HOF. that guy has reinvented what it means to be a) an outfielder, and b) a leadoff hitter. You're probably wrong. Won't happen - although he has impressive numbers, he is not a Hall of Fame player. You're giving him 200 hits per year for each of his last 10 years - mighty generous of you Hard to say with the way he hits so well and he should be in the Hall of Fame. Man this is the best hitter i seen since Tony Gwyn, but a better all round player than Tony Gwyn. Ichiro is a gold glove winner every year since he been in the league. He have the most hit of any players in the league in the last 5 years. T o add to his legacy he won the rookies of the year and the league MVP in the same season only second player to accomplished that. Ichiro in my opinion is one of th best hitter of this generation. I don't think Ichiro gonna have a bad year period down the road, just too good of a hitter. Yeah Hall Off Fame is in the future for Ichiro as soon as he retire within the 5 years frame. What kind of record would he set if he would just play in the MLB instead of Japan most of his career, wow is the word. |
