I love these morons who say that Derek Jeter is overrated. He's a .317 career hitter(which is the career BA of Roberto Clemente), is well on his way to 3000 hits. He makes all the plays in the field as well. People need to understand that the Gold Glove is voted on by players, coaches, and managers, when someone wins it, it's because they deserve it. The only people who don't like Jeter are the Yankee haters, and the who think that to be good a player has to hit a lot of homers. Jeter is a great all around player.

In this era of steroids,Jeter looks almost skinny compared to other players, so it's safe to say he's clean, and played the game the right way. He's the best.

i dont think he'll ever get the credit he deserves just because he never really had a horrible year so it is excpected of him.

We can never say enough good things about Derek Jeter. He has grown into the best shortstop in the league and will be announced as the league MVP right after the series. I hope I can make it to Cooperstown when he enters the Hall Of Fame.

Hey buddy, if anyone every has a debate with Jeter..just show them the video of the toss at game 3 of the ALDS of 2001 that saved the yankees their season. Also, the diving catch to the stands against the Red Sox to win in the 12th inning..If that is still not enough, show them the video when Jeter made the game winning home run against the Oriales in the playoffs of 1996..and last but not least..when the yankees were down 2 games to 0..jeter made the game winning homerun to make the series 2-1 when the diamond backs could of taken a 3-0 lead..enough said.
