| White Sox Fans Joe Crede Gold Glove No Cub BS!!!? |
|
I have already asked this question and maybe I worded the questions wrong. Does anyone else out there think that Joe Crede will get a gold glove this year? He has been passed over for WAY to many years. I know that it is VERY early in the season but his defensive performance already this year (along with the past 4) has shown his ability as a third baseman. HE OWNS IT!!! What the heck does he have to do to get one? I know that the award is kind of like a popularity contest but those who vote - do they at least have any comprehension of what it means? It means great plays day after day, quietly and with class. If that doesn't describe him nothing does. HELP!!!! |

TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU! Will it change? Maybe not. Over the past few years, what the gold glove really stands for has changed. Sure, its awarded for great defensive plays and prowess. However, when you look at it, everybody who has won it (for the most part, Orlando Hudson being an exception) has put up pretty good offensive stats. Its like if that is what seperates a guy like A-Rod from Crede. |

Hell yah he will get a gold glove this year. SInce the SOx are WC they are in the spotlight more and more, hence Crede is in the spotlight more and more, so he has approx. 99.9% that he will get one. it wouldbe really embarrassing to MLB to see guy of that caliber go unnoticed I'm not a white sox, i ll be honest. But after starting to watch the white sox during the world series, as well as this season, Joe Crede has been one of the most impressive defensive 3B in the AL. To be honest, I can't think of anyone who is better, in the national league, maybe David Wright or Rolen if he is healthy. But in the AL, maybe Lowell or Eric Chavez can compete a bit; but pure defensively speaking, yeah, he should get it. No, actually he won't. |
