What baseball glove size should i get?

Im 13, 5'7 about 130 pounds and play pitcher or outfield. Im not sure what size to get, thinkin 12 or 12 1/4.

Infielders tend to use smaller gloves so the can get to the ball faster as well as getting rid of it. Outfielders will use larger gloves (nickname BASKETS) just so they have alittle more range couple inches. Pitchers will have very large glove to hide their grip on the ball. as well as the ball itself to the last fraction of a second.

Depending on what level you are playing at (ie. in-house, traveling, etc.), the size of your glove may not matter. Generally speaking and level of play aside, infielders want smaller gloves, around 11 inches or smaller. Outfielders usually want the largest glove they can get, somewhere in the range of 12 1/2 - 14. Pitchers do not have specifics like this, but most go with the smaller size since they are considered infielders.

I myself am an exception to this rule, however. I play JV baseball in my school and I play first base and pitcher and I use a 13 in. glove. I personally think that the size of the glove is more a matter of preference and comfort than what you "should" have or use.

Take a look at this glove guide

You would usually want a larger glove with open web (can see through it more) as opposed to a pitcher's glove which can be any length, but usually has a closed web to prevent the batter from seeing the ball in your glove.

I would recommend you go to a sports store and try on a few to see what is comfortable to you.
