ive always wondered: what baseball team are most people in new jersey fans of?? like, which is the most popluar? is it the red sox or the yankees, or even the mets???

oh yeah....forgot about the phillies!

Yankees fans tend to be mostly in The Bronx, Manhattan, and the suburbs of NYC (NJ, Long Island, Westchester, etc.). Met Fan are in Queens, most of Brooklyn, and about 50/50 Met to Yankee fans on Staten Island. Overall there are more Mets fans in NYC then Yankees fans, but the Yankees have more fans total because of the suburbs. The reason Met fans out number Yankees fans, in NYC (I'm not talking about the bandwagon fans that come and go depending on which team is doing better, but the true die hard fan), is because years ago NYC had 3 baseball teams, the Yankees in The Bronx (American League), The Brooklyn Dodgers in Brooklyn (National League) and the NY Giants in Manhattan (National League). Eventually the Dodgers and the Giants moved to California, leaving a void for the National League fans, which would never root for the Yankees no matter what, when the Mets started in the early 60's their fan base came from the Dodger and Giant fans, and it is the same today as it was in early 1960's, that's why they always say NYC is a National League town. I have always been a Yankees fan since the early 70's, but I can count on 1 hand how many of my friends, growing up, were Yankees fans where 90% of the people I knew were Mets fans.

Now to your question the northern 3/4's of NJ are a mix of Yankees and Mets fans but very heavily Yankees fans. The southern 1/4 of NJ most philly fans

I would say a mixture of Yankees, Mets and Phillies fans. Not so many Red Sox fans.

i dont know why u said red sox, there a few states up north from jersey, but im only 15 miles away from jersey and most people i know are met fans

I had a friend who lived in jersey and he just loved the Cubs. He could not get enough of them so he moved to Chicago.

St. Louis Cardinals

For 50 years, they were the southern-most and western-most team in the US - so there are a lot of Cardinals' fans everywhere I've ever been.

North Jersey Yankees and Mets.
Southern Jersey, Phillies.
