| Opinion poll : who are the best five players of all-time eligible for the baseball hall of fame not yet in? |
|
I can think of Pete Rose and Joe Jackson as my shoe-in (no pun intended) answers for this one but wanted to put it out to the group. This could include past players who never got voted in by veterans' committee, but - due to the eligibility restriction not the players who retired so recently they have not yet been named on any ballots. Thanks in advance for your answers, I'm sure this questions has been asked in the past but I'm not sure it has been asked recently. |

Just five, huh? Well, it's a little hard. The writers have done such a crummy job over the years that there are quite a few, actually. |

Rose and Jackson are not eligible, so there goes those two. pete rose, joe jackson, bert blyleven, tommy john, and lee smith Mark McGwire, Pete Rose, Rich Gossage, Lee Smith, Jim Kaat I would have to say, in no particular order: gossage, rice, mattingly, munson, blyleven Ron Santo. |
