Why do people keep saying Barry Bonds didn't use steroids?

He used a steroid cream that he tested positive for but he said "I didn't knowingly use steroids." So now his health trainer is in jail. So get over it, he used steroids stop trying to deny it because it's a fact, he used a steroid cream, and if you say that it was just a cream and it didn't do much, I have another reason why it did effect him dramatically. People don't somehow get so much better over one season at the age of 35. It just doesn't happen, your body wears down, you don't go from hitting 45 homeruns one season to hitting 73 the next at the age of 35 it just doesn't make sense. He also gained 50 pounds, his shoe size increased by 3 sizes and his hat size increased by 1 and a half Now I would like to see someone who thinks he never did steroids, try to make a comeback (it needs to be a logical answer, and the answer can't be "He never tested positive" because he did.

btw I know he was a great athlete, and he would've reached 600 homeruns, but he would not have reached 756.

Nobody says he never did steroids. They say, rightfully, that he never failed a test.

He never tested positive for steroids, he admitted he used them unknowingly in the form of the cream and the clear.

I repeat, he NEVER tested positive for steroids. If he had, he would've been suspended like every other player that failed a test.
.

Why wasn't he suspended. I know that all these players are being suspended for using steroids, Bonds wasn't. And the common response was "well you weren't suspended for first offense", that makes it a warning and a slap on the wrist, no punishment. He broke a rule that didn't exist apparently. And saying his head got bigger is no proof,

**** Man ask his wife lol (what else do steroids do)

Who ever said that is on crack. He has used steroids more times than he has ever swung a bat

People don't want to believe the person they've vested their heart and soul into and rooted for for years is a cheater. They want to believe that all sports figures are pure of heart and would never do anything to compromise their integrity or hurt their fans.

That being said, there are players out there who play the game(s) the way they should be played. But because of the "Steroid Era" of Baseball, many will question the great accomplishments of athletes for years to come.

The same people who see what looks like a duck, hear a quack like a duck, and watch something walk like a duck but yet refuse to believe it actually IS A DUCK

Because people are in denial. Even if they say he did use steroids, they'll say stuff like, "well, it wasn't illegal at the time, so even if he did use them, then that's ok because he was just trying to help his personal performance which in turn helps the team." There are so many people who are Bonds boot lickers, and I don't know why. The guy is a first class jerk, he's cocky, he was cheaing on his wife with that one girl for years, but for some reason, the Giants fans especially, give this guy a free pass, get out of jail free card. To say that Bonds didn't use steroids would be to say that OJ didn't kill Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman. Have you noticed that it's mostly women on here who are supporting Bonds. These are the same kind of women who get beat up by their men and then want to go back to them....But I love him, I love him, call Jerry Springer, he'll put you on the show

i will never deny that i dont think barry bonds did steroids.... however how do you think that doing steroids is going to increase your chances at hitting home runs. yes it does give you more strenth to hit it, but its not like he was this horrible baseball player before. you have to have the hand eye coordination, the movement of the hip, the movement of the wrist, etc. once all of that rolls in to place than the muscles help you out... i wish people would just get over it. it has been a week since he broke the record and people are still on here crying saying he cheated. GET OVER IT! do we really know hank aaron didnt use steroids?!?! you know they were legal when hank aaron played, just like they were still legal when barry bonds grew 1 & 1/2 hat sizes, 3 shoes sizes, & gained 50 lbs as you say.... don't get me wrong im not a barry bonds die hard fan, nor am i a San Francisco Giants fan. I am an atlanta braves fan all the way, which i will add my braves beat the giants tonight, but i will always say BARRY BONDS IS A GREAT ATHLETE AND DESERVES THE TITLE THAT HE RIGHTFULLY IS HOLDING!

hey he rocks!!! u no it!!!

go barry!!!!!

because they are in denial and dont know better.

most of them have jumped on the home run bandwagon.

I don't know why do they. I think he is a thug. that has to use steroids to break Hanks record.

No he used steroids and the truth is he shouldn't have broken Hank Aarons record cause Aaron worked hard on it and he cheated.

U WERE SAYING ROGER CLEMENS CAN'T WIN 15 OR 20 MORE GAMES BECOZ HE'S ALREADY ON 40'S ..LOOK HOW BIG HE IS , I THINK HE'S BIGGER THAN BARRY BONDS AND MUCH OLDER THAN BARRY BONDS

the fact that some people deny the fact that he used steroids just amazes me. HE USED THEM people. thats just the way it is. people get worse as they get older not better. and no matter how he took them, weither he they were illegal or not, it's cheating. those home runs aren't his. i think it's a dishonor to babe ruth and hank aron and all the greats who played the game the way it should be played. those guys lived and breathed baseball, and they played it with pure talent. not fake talent, which is what bonds plays with. yea he was a good ball player before, but not this good.

He tested positive for amphetamines, which are another banned substance by the MLB.

find me proof that he knowingly did it and ill believe you.

In the court of law, the burden is on the state to prove to the the jury that the suspect is guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. I am not a Barry Bonds fan, I am not a Giants fan, I am merely a baseball fan who feels that in life one should not be assumed guilty because of circumstantial evidence. Now, one can scour the internet and not find a single positive steroid test result for Bonds, "Since 2003, Bonds has been a key figure in the BALCO scandal, though Bonds has never failed a steroid test. He is also under investigation for perjury by a federal grand jury regarding his testimony in the BALCO case, but he has not been indicted": fact. So, if Bonds did in fact take steroids, he somehow managed to pass the tests he was subjected to. Bonds experienced an "unusual" growth spurt taking place in his late 30s and early 40s: fact. But medically speaking, while rare, this sort of growth can occur in adults without the aid of pharmaceuticals. I am not Barry Bonds public defender, no more than anyone should be his prosecutor. If he openly admits to steroid use, and/or tests positive for a banned substance other than amphetamines, then I will be one of the first to say that MLB and the government throw the book at him. But at this moment in time he is the all-time HR king, the single season HR king, and one of the greatest players to play the game. The shadows cast by steroid allegations create a skeptical platform for Bonds path into the Hall of Fame. But baring a huge turn of events, five years after his departure from baseball, his name will be enshrined in the halls of Cooperstown: fact.

Barry is famous and rich. He went out of his way to make sure he would not get caught, even if he did get caught he even had an excuse that he did not knowingly take them. Basically Greg Anderson the guy in jail right now, well basically that is what he does, he is a steroid dealer and physical trainer. It is no secret around here about who he is since I live about 5 minutes from Balco and where a lot of these guys train. Many of these guys are on the juice.

you dont know your facts barry never tested positive for anything lol otherwise he would have been suspended and anyways all steroids do is give u maybe another 5 feet on the ball how many of his homers only go by 5 feet not many it still takes great hand eye cordination and skill of the game

They are ignorant just like Bonds himself!
Long Live King Aaron!

Most people that drink Baroid flavored kool-aid just don't want to admit the truth. Sure, he never tested positive - because the MLBPA "protected" the players. But - circumstantial evidence is overwhelming:

1 - his leaked grand jury testimony
2 - his ex-mistress
3 - the creator of the Clear from BALCO - who also say YES it would help with eye-hand coordination and timing as well as strength
4 - his lack of libel lawsuits to prevent people or punish people for what they have written
5 - his incredible increase in size
6 - his incredible skills increase - his homer/drug years were 33% more productive than the years before
7 - his incredible shrinking skills after testing began
8 - his good friend and trainer sitting in jail rather than tell the truth in court

No, who was not alone in cheating - but he did cheat - it was against the rules made by Fay Vincent and it was agianst the law.

He would have been a first ballot HOF without cheating - but Rose would have been first ballot without betting -

I wish the writers had the cajones to NOT elcet a cheater to the HOF

the test should have shown negative he did use steroids and how steroids help is the help u locate the bat and give more than that they give u strongness people think it's rumors but it's not he used steroids fair and sqaure

Bonds used steroids period their is no denying it all you have to do is look at pictures of him from his rookie season to this year to figure that out. For those people who said that Hank Aaron could have taken roids you people should be ashamed of yourselfs. Aaron is a class act it took hard work to do what he did. Aaron did it the right way and anyone saying otherwise can go to Hell. If Bonds is put in the Hall of Fame then Pete Rose better be going in as well.

Yeah it's like bill clinton saying "I didn't inhale." That's bull. He for damn sure knew what he was doing. It's also like Sosa claiming he it was his practice bat that he accidently grabbed that was corked. (yeah right like you can't tell the difference between your own damn bats) Stuff like this makes me so mad.

He is a celebrity and rich. He can pay off anyone he wants to and so can his team. I'm sure a doctor or a drug testing adminster would take a million dollars to try to clean his name and make it appear as if he wasn't using steroids.

Because the team and league makes money off of him playing and scoring. So they wouldn't want someone like him to be kicked out.
Personally, I think he should go to jail.

People who say Bonds didnt use sterioids are either Giant fans or five year olds.

OK But did Bonds Actually take the Needle and Inject himself with it i dont think so i think he was given steroids his traine. and At least he didnt front out lie about it like Cansaco, Palmiro, and and a lot of other people. plus in Hall of Famer Michael Jack Schmidts book Clearing the Bases it was common to take a pill that they Called Greenies, basically diet pills (Back in Mike Schmidts Playing days). Also Our Hall of Fame is Filled with Cheaters now ur thinking how well ill tell u how. Pitchers Messed with the ball, People wore golf Cleats for better Traction. Why did people do all this (Bonds not in discussion) to get an edge. so my advice to u idiots asking these questions is to drop the subject cause if someone wants to get better they'll do anything even take an illegal substance to gain an edge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

Greenies were used back When Mike Schmidt was Playing i never said he took Greenies although it did comeout wrong but dont worry its fixed now Sorry for the Inconviences
