| If a pitcher bounces a baseball and it comes back high enough to go through the stikezone is it a strike? |

Define what is called a strike for me and that might provide a better answer. Think about the pitches that could be thrown- like Zito bouncing a 47 foot uncle charlie and vald guererro swinging out of his shoes. what a sight. |

If it hit the ground it is called a ball, unless is swung at. Otherwise, it is treated exactly the same as a regular pitch. |

You're welcome. Yeah, that would be pretty cool. I'd love to see it. Report It no. where is bounces is technically where is crosses the plate. It is still a live ball so the batter can still swing at it but, like a like any poorly pitched ball it is still a ball If it bouces its automatically a ball in japan that is actually a strike well if it comes back into stikezone it is. No, unless the batter swings and misses. NO ITS A WILD PITCH no. and by the way, its only a wild pitch if the catcher misses it. I think it should be though. that'd make pitching a little more interesting. no It is only a strike if the batter is dumb enough to swing. its a ball, but if a batter swings and hits it counts as a hit(Yogi Berra) If the batter swings (If he did he should not be in the Majors) then it's a strike if not it's a ball. |
