I see Ramirez as a talented good ballplayer, but he looks dirty and his uniform is sloppy. It is too big!!!!!! why does baseball allow this? It is not a good thing for kids to look at. A statement is one thing but do it with class. David Ortiz is not that way. If I was the owner I would do what Steinbrenner of the yankees does. A clean look and properly fitting uniform

Well my opinion just differs from yours and maybe so does the opinion of Red Sox Management. I don't think Manny looks dirty or sloppy. I'm just glad that Red Sox Management lets their players be themselves and doesn't require specific haircuts, etc. After all what doe their appearances have to do with their performance?

Why not let Manny be Manny. I happen to think he looks fine. Yes his uniform is a little big, but maybe he is more comfortable with that fit. I love his hair and think it looks great too. Why should players have to have short hair and tight fitting uniforms. The yankees organization take the personality out of players thus the fun and enjoyment of being themselves. Maybe they need to look at the other teams and quit being so uptight about things that aren't really important.

The red sox have a happy clubhouse, no attitudes. They know it's a team sport and you have to work together. The other team you speak of only seem to worry about individual stats.
When you have 200 million to spend on players you can make them do whatever you want. I like my sox the way they are!

The Red Sox are not about what the Yankees are about. The Yankees are all about structure and a marine like cleanliness and very uniform. The Red Sox are all about talent and character. I truly don't believe Manny would perform as well if he were not as comfortable as he is. He is the kind of player who just needs to do his own thing. He looks the way he should look. If it is not hurting his performance than why should Red Sox management care? He is perfect just the way he is.

The sox have alot of personalitys such as Manny, Ortiz, Schilling and Tavarez for instance. For Terry Francona it's a challenge for keeping all those personalities grounded and under control. Francona lets the players be casual and relaxed. And when they feel good they play good. As for Manny he plays best how he looks because he feels relaxed and doesn't have to be anything but himself

That's an excellent question. The guy looks like he just woke up from a seven day drunk. You'd think he'd have more pride in himself but I guess it's just a reflect on Red Sox management. Of course there are the little groupies who thinks it's cool to look like a bum.

The one thing about Manny that must really piss off the opposition is the way he throws his hands up in the air at home plate when he thinks he's hit the long ball. If I was the pitcher being shown up like that, I'd make dam sure he paid the price his next at bat.
