| Should Soriano be forced to play left field? |
|
A player shouldn't be forced to play a position that they don't know how to play or can't play that well. Soriano is being ripped-off in Washington by being given an option or not playing at all. |

Soriano is getting ripped off by getting paid ten million dollars? You both need help. Report It A) Soriano has played left field before and played it fairly well. he should play outfield he's committed too many errors what was it 130 (something like that) since 2000 and there back-up has only committed 41! Report It He should be willing to do whatever makes the team better. And yes he would be a better leftfielder....too many errors at second. If it will make the Capitals better sure why not but i think Soriano should stick to second base For $10 million (he "lost" arbitration), he ought to do what the team asks of him. I'll bet they trade him soon, though, and I hope they get someone they really want so this nonsense can end. Not forced but he should definetly do whatever is best for his team. He should. He is payed 10 million a year to do what's best for the team not what's best for him. He's a whiny little *****, and I hope his career falters. The Nats should trade him for a left fielder if what they want is a left fielder. Baseball players are creatures of habit. They need to be able to be in their "comfort zone" in order to produce to their highest potential. If Soriano is not comfortable playing left field, his hitting would suffer drastically. Additionally, the learning curve for a new position is drastic. He would make errors, some dumb errors due to poor judgement, like not throwing to the right base, and some errors due to not enough training time, like not being able to get his feet planted right in order to throw out a runner going to the plate after he catches a deep fly ball. Then, when he makes an error in the ninth inning of a game, like letting the winning run score on a sac fly, everybody will blame HIM. Not the stupid manager who tried to make an infielder into an outfielder. Then, his batting will suffer even further, as he feels alienated and picked on. I think if he is really putting up a fight like this then maybe he shouldn't be in left. There is obviously a reason behind this. He is an all-star that would fit in perfect with the Mets. Hecks no man he is one of the best infielders i know not just because he is my favorite player but because he has played a bunch and he belongs to the infield If you're going to make the money they're willing to pay you, you should be willing to play the position they want you too. Honestly it be good for him, he has way to many errors to play in the infield, and this isn't going to affect his at bats. With the money these players make now days, they should play where ever there ask to. Most players now days are such big babies that if they don`t get there way they want to take there ball and go home. |
