| What's the punishment for jumping into the field during an MLB game? |
|
My friend assumed it was probably like $500 - $1,000 and a night in jail, but I am just curious what the actual censure is for doing such a thing. thank you |

It does not make any difference if it's before, during or after the game. If somebody jumps on the field they will be in jail a lot longer than one night, and will cost them a lot more than $1000. Recently a drunk at a Cub game got as far as the pitcher's mound. The Cook County State's Attorney wanted to charge the guy with a misdemeanor but the Cubs lobbied to get the guy charged with a felony. Then there was the incident at U.S. Cellular Field several years ago where two drunks beat up Royals first base coach Tom Gamboa. I think these two losers are still in prison. These two incidents suggest that MLB teams are going to come down hard, very hard, on doofuses who jump on to the field. |

a friend of my friends actually did that at us celluar (white sox game) hes in prison right now... could be facing 4 years or a huge fine... probly bigger than 1k. well,an arrest and a fine are a given, but u more than likely will recieve a lifetime ban from the ballpark for pulling that stunt, depending on what city u live in you get shot in the face POW camp. you will be arrested and you will be charged by a judge and he picks how much time you'll be locked up. No way, now, it is bout 30 days in jail and I'm not to sure what the fine is, pretty high Im sure, your friend may be right. For fighting with someone else is a smaller fine but a night in jail. I saw 3 people get arrested at a Yankees game for fighting. But if you jump on the field, its about 30 days and a pretty high fine you are removed from the ballpark and certainly get to spend at least one night in jail. |
