Alright, no brainer, 1961 New York Yankees. As much as i hate the Yankees, this team had it all, including a World Series ring. 1961 included the great home run race that overtook the Babe Ruth single season home run record. The outfield consisted of Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris, and, I am not joking, Yogi Bera. Toward the end of his career he spent more time in the outfield then behind the plate due to bad knees and an outstanding young talent Elston Howard. So TWO hall of famers, and the man who held the single season home run record for 3 1/2 decades. I would love to see someone top that. |

Montreal Expos. At one time, they had Warren Cromartie, Andre Dawson and Ellis Valentine. They all could hit and Ellis Valentine had one of the best arms ever in the majors. Here are the 1927 Yankees. how about vernon wells, alex rios, and reed johnson? New York in the 50 '61 Yanks. ??? |
