Alright, no brainer, 1961 New York Yankees. As much as i hate the Yankees, this team had it all, including a World Series ring. 1961 included the great home run race that overtook the Babe Ruth single season home run record. The outfield consisted of Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris, and, I am not joking, Yogi Bera. Toward the end of his career he spent more time in the outfield then behind the plate due to bad knees and an outstanding young talent Elston Howard. So TWO hall of famers, and the man who held the single season home run record for 3 1/2 decades. I would love to see someone top that.

Montreal Expos. At one time, they had Warren Cromartie, Andre Dawson and Ellis Valentine. They all could hit and Ellis Valentine had one of the best arms ever in the majors.

Here are the 1927 Yankees.
Pos - Name ------------ age - avg - obp - slg - ops+
OF *Earle Combs ...... 28 - .356 - .414 - .511 -142
OF *Babe Ruth ........... 32 - .356 - .486 - .772 - 226
OF Bob Meusel ......... 30 - .337 - .393 - .510 - 136
All three are career .300 hitters. Ruth and Combs Hall of Famers.

Here are the 1979 Boson Red Sox
Pos - Name ------------ age - avg - obp - slg - ops+
OF Dwight Evans ...... 27 - .274 - .364 - .456 - 115
OF *Fred Lynn ............ 27 - .333 - .423 - .637 - 176
OF Jim Rice ............... 26 - .325 - .381 - .596 - 154

how about vernon wells, alex rios, and reed johnson?
presently, they're supposed to be really good at hitting good numbers, but wells and reed(DL) are putting em up; but its a sick combo.

New York in the 50
Three teams and this is it

Willie Mays
Mickey Mantle and
Duke snyder

That was the best of all time but as I said on three different teams.
What a time to watch baseball.

'61 Yanks.

I mean they had Maris and Mantle, and Berra.

And in 61 Maris broke the homerun record.

And Mantle was having a excellent year too.

???

dont know but Ozzie Smith and Eddie Murray were HS teammates as infielders.......Bret Saberhagen pitched a no-hitter at Dodger Stadium to clinch the HS championship
