Who has the most catchy "baseball" name in history!?

By baseball name, I mean the person who's name you hear and makes you think about baseball. Really catchy names (e.i. Homer Bush, Coco Crisp, Pee-wee Reese, "Oil Can" Boyd, the "Rocket" Roger Clemons, "Sultan of Swat" Babe Ruth, "Big Hurt" Frank Thomas, " The Bash Brothers" Jose Canseco and Mark McGuire, and many others.

DIZZY DEAN

Rollie Fingers

I definetly think that Rollie Fingers is the most catchy baseball name. He was a Relief Pitcher for the San Diego Padres and Oakland Atheletics. He many times won the Rawlings Relief Award for his outstanding closing pitching.

The Zamboni Machine-Kenny Reitz

Cocoa Crispies

Of course this is subjective.....but I think in the 19th and early 20th century the nicknames may have been the best. Among my favorites are Mike "King" Kelly, Robert "Death To Flying Things" Ferguson, Charles "Piano Legs" Hickman, Fred "Crazy" Schmit and Bill "Wagon Tongue" Keister. More recently, the best are Dennis "Oil Can" Boyd, Razor Shines, minor leaguer Pork Chop Pough and BillSpaceman" Lee

Shooty Babbit.......

The Gas House Gang

or

Razor Shines

I like "Charlie Hustle" for Pete Rose.

He was my favorite player, but I'm very disappointed with the way he has handled himself since he was banned from baseball.

Whitey Ford gave Rose the nickname when the Yankee pitcher saw Rose run to first base after drawing a walk in a spring training game.

Whether Pete went 4 for 4, or stuck out five times, he always gave 110% and was well worth the price of a ticket.

stan the man

how about Johnny "Blue Moon" Odom (A's), Mordeci "Three Finger" Brown (a pitcher at that), "The Big Train"-Walter Johnson 373 career wins, and a real "almost" the A's Vida Blue was offered big bucks by legandary owner Bill Veeck to change his name to "True Blue", Vida declined.

the wizard - ozzie smith
Stan the man - stan musial
big mac - mark mcguire
dizzy Dean
the zamboni - ken reitz

Cecil Fielder
Dick Pole
Steve Swisher
Rich Yett (Are you Rich Yett?)
Rusty Kuntz
Home Run Baker
Choo Choo Coleman
Gary "Ding Dong" Bell (Buddy's Dad)

My two favorites are Nolan "The Ryan Express" Ryan and Rich "Goose" Gossage.
