That said, Kirk Gibson hobbling out and slapping a walk-off (hobble-off) homer in Game 1 of the '88 World Series has got to be the biggest shocker (and most "incredible play") in the history of the MLB for me.

AND...he did it against D. Eckersley who was having a phenomenal year!
