What is the best team in sports history, any team any year?

Also, who is someone that is in the hall of fame that shouldn't be?

Who deservers to be in the hall of fame that isnt already?

The 1992 USA Basketball "Dream Team" was the greatest team ever assembled.

Michael Jordan
Larry Bird
Magic Johnson
Partick Ewing
David Robinson
Charles Barkley
Karl Malone
John Stockton
Chris Mullen
Clyde Drexler
Scottie Pippen
Christian Laettner*

* the only member of the team, not selected as one of the 50 greatest NBA players of all time

Won by an average margin of 43.8 points

Closest game was the 32 point blow out in the Gold Medal game.

Andre Dawson and Ron Santo should be in the hall.

Franchise:
New York Yankees
26 championships, more than any other team in professional sports.

Second is Montreal Canadiens with 24

Bonds should never be in the HOF

If this is about a year, then its the Bulls 72 win team.

The original dream team is the greatest team in sports history. Pete Rose should be in the Hall of fame as a player, but should still be banned from participating in MLB.

2001 Seattle Mariners, 116 wins. Most of the guys that are in the Hall should be there, but a guy that needs to be there, is Pete Rose

The New York Yankees! Derek Jeter should be in the hall of fame and A-Rod too.

If you're talking about single seasons, four that come to mind are the 95-96 Chicago Bulls who won 72 games, a Montreal Canadien team in the mid 70's that only lost 8 games all year, the 1998 Yankees with 114 wins, and of course, the 1972 Dolphins.

ah, yes, here come the pete rose apologists...obviously they have never read the dowd report, and the phony excuse that he didnt bet while playing is bogus, because this is the same person who bet later....

who legitimately deserves the hof that isnt already???
bert blyleven
rich gossage
vida blue

72 dolphins

Jim Rice and Mark Mcgwire

The New York Yankees 26 time World Series champions, most recent years 1977, 1978, 1996, 1998, 1999 and 2000. Among those who deserve to be inducted, into the baseball hall of fame are Derek Jeter, Alex Rodriguez, Hideki Matsui, Johnny Damon and Jorge Posada.

Best teams, in no particular order:
1976 Montreal Canadiens - lost something like 8 games all year
1972 Miami Dolphins - undefeated, says it all
1985 Chicago Bears - the most dominant team I've ever seen
1984 Detroit Tigers - awesome from start to finish
1995-96 Chicago Bulls - 72 wins, 'nuff said
1927 New York Yankees - 110 wins, swept the Pirates in the WS
plus many, many college teams, in all sports, that are too numerous to list

In the Hall and shouldn't be: I can't make that call, others are way smarter than I in that arena
Deserves the Hall: Pete Rose, Joe Jackson, Bert Blyleven, Rich Gossage, Art Monk, Andre Reed

Wow this question is so broad!
Red Sox 2004, being idiots, being hurt but still coming through to sweep the Yankees and the Cards to win the world series, which hadn't been done for so long.

People who shouldn't be in the hall of fame who are-no one, anyone who is deserves it.
People who shouldn't be-anyone who has used seroids. There records are not accurate, they cheated.

People who should go into the hall of fame-Papelbon, Pujols and Ryan Howard

The Miami Dolphins team that went unbeaten.
Hall of Fame here r 3 Pete Rose, JIm Rice and Gil Hodges

I hate to admit it, but that Yankee team that won like 120 games in the '90s was impressive.

I can't say the Bulls 70 win season...competitiion wasn't that great. I'd pick Celtic team from the 80's with their four hall of famers in the starting five.

I hear alot of the 71 Dolphins that went undefeated, but I'd put my money on th 1985 Bears...15-1 with the best defense of all time.

For Hockey, tough to really say, but I have to give it to one of the Edmonton Oiler teams from the 80's with Gretzsky, Messier, and company.

The best team in sports history was the 1972 Miami Dolphins. They were the only professional sports team to not lose a game, and win the title. Also they are the only sports team to be top rated in both scoring offense and scoring defense.

As for guys who should be in the Baseball Hall of Fame, the most deserving is Ron Santo, followed by Bert Blyleven, and Goose Gossage. Also if they would make him eligible, of course Pete Rose deserves to be in.

Pete Rose should be in the Hall of Fame; and if Phil Rizzuto got in, then Gil Hodges' entry is long overdue.
