Ray Patton played baseball in Louisvill KY and Red Sox as pitcher between 1937-44 est. We are trying to locate any history about his career we also would like the source of information books etc.

I could not find the name of Ray Patton on any of the Red Sox rosters between those years. (Did you know that Ted Williams pitched one inning in that span?)

There was a Gene Tunney Patton who played one game on June 17th for the Boston Braves in 1944. If this is the guy that you were looking for, he was born July 8, 1926 in Coatesville Pennsylvania.

I looked in several sources and was unable to find a Ray Patton.
Closest was a Gene Patton. He played in one game for the Red Sox in 1944 but did not bat. It does not look like he was a pitcher.
