| Greatest comeback in baseball history? |

We all know that the 2004 Red Sox were the best series comeback in baseball history. But what about in a game? My greatest would have to be the four homeruns in a row by the dodgers last year (2006). Kent, J.d Drew, Martin, and Marlon Anderson with back-to-back-to-back-to-back hrs in bottom of nine. |

I think the 1969 Mets came from a long way back to beat out the Cubs and win the national league pennant, and then the world series. |

when the Snazzers beat the Moundies at Big Rock stadium...that was great Red Sox down 3-0 to the Yankees in the ALCS in 2004 hands down!!! I've seen so many games in my life over the past 30 years that your question is impossible for me to answer. Plenty of regular season games with dramatic comebacks I can think of, but not as many in the playoffs. I would put Joe Carter's home run in '92 up there, but Kirk Gibson's '88 home run was even more dramatic and Dodgers won that game on his walk off home run. The 2004 Red Sox series comeback was amazing and deserves credit for your question, even though you are looking for individual game comebacks... that was pretty amazing I say 2005 cardinals in the nlcs against the astros when pujols [El hombre] hit a homer. Individual game comebacks, eh? Well in 2006 the Yankees erased a 10-1 Rangers deficit and, 4 innings later, took a 12-11 lead, and they held on, 14-13. (sighs and bangs head on desk) And the Rockies go unnoticed AGAIN! This is what they get for being in Colorado......no one except the TRUE Rockis fans notice them....... Jim Bouton was handed a manila envelope with some World Series tickets by the Yankees' Vice President. He was sitting in a limo with Yogi Berra. The Veep said to Bouton, "You're lucky. That was the last we had." 2004 Red Sox over Yankees I don't care what you say.WoW. |
