Pitching stats - balls and strikes to EVERY pitch?

I'm charting my 11 year old's pitching and was told I don't need to "chart" foul balls, that any "hit" ball is charted as a strike credit. For example, a batter gets to 0-2 then fouls the next 4 pitches. The chart would show pitches 1 thru 6 to be strikes. Is this right?

When counting Balls and Strikes for pitch counts, yes, but once a batter has two strikes, fouls are pretty much a moot point from a hitters perspective

after and 0-2 count u only need the chart balls or the last strike not foul balls Report It

You are being such a wonderful parent. Please do not force him/her to do any activity that he does not show interest in.
If there is one fact in life, other than God is Creator, it is the more time and love you give, the GREATER the chances of your child growing up without mental problems.

ya they cant be balls if he fouled them off they can only be balls if he doesnt swing and its outside .
