And thirdly... Why the hell didn't he run? He's a great player, one of my favorites. But walking out of the box after every time he THINKS he's hit a homer is ridiculous... and in this case... watching the ball bounce off the wall and just standing at first is just stupid. What are your opinions?

You all are entitled to your opinions... as am I. Manny is a genious when it comes to baseball. He's got one of the best eyes in the game, and he's an overall excellent player. Granted, he can get a little excited, or even cocky, but who wouldn't? He thought he had hit ANOTHER homer in the world series! All of you that are trashing him are either uneducated or stupid. Yea, you could say you don't have respect for a showoff... but you can't diss the man's game. He's amazing. I'm just a bit disappointed in the decision he made. And when it comes to his comment... he wasn't saying he didn't give a sh*t about what happened... he was trying to say it's just a game. They're gonna give it all they got but if it's not enough... they'll be here next season to prove themselves.

Secondly, he's a great player, but he's also arrogant. He should have run instead of standing there to watch it - very presumptuous on his part. Stopping at first was just stupidity on his part - there's no reason he couldn't have run.

I don't know whether is was a homerun or not, I'm listening on the radio (my DVR only lets me record 2 shows at a time, and I can't watch a third, so CSI and the Office are recording and I'm listening to the game) but I can tell you even without seeing it, Manny is so full of himself that he has forgotten how to play the game. There is a reason why there is a coach at first base. His job is to tell you whether to keep running or whether you are out. There is no reason why you should be watching the ball once you hit it.

Manny is a first ballot hall-of-famer, but he is a fool. All you need to know about him was when he played for Cleveland he looked up to the bizarre bully, Albert Belle. Anyone who would think for a second Belle had anything significant to add to society is an utter dope.
