What was Manny thinking?!?!?!?

First of all... Are you rooting for Indians or Red Sox?
Secondly... Was it a homerun or not?
And thirdly... Why the hell didn't he run? He's a great player, one of my favorites. But walking out of the box after every time he THINKS he's hit a homer is ridiculous... and in this case... watching the ball bounce off the wall and just standing at first is just stupid. What are your opinions?

You all are entitled to your opinions... as am I. Manny is a genious when it comes to baseball. He's got one of the best eyes in the game, and he's an overall excellent player. Granted, he can get a little excited, or even cocky, but who wouldn't? He thought he had hit ANOTHER homer in the world series! All of you that are trashing him are either uneducated or stupid. Yea, you could say you don't have respect for a showoff... but you can't diss the man's game. He's amazing. I'm just a bit disappointed in the decision he made. And when it comes to his comment... he wasn't saying he didn't give a sh*t about what happened... he was trying to say it's just a game. They're gonna give it all they got but if it's not enough... they'll be here next season to prove themselves.

In answer to your first question, I was born and raised in Boston - nuff said.
Secondly, he's a great player, but he's also arrogant. He should have run instead of standing there to watch it - very presumptuous on his part. Stopping at first was just stupidity on his part - there's no reason he couldn't have run.

he wasn't. thinking is a foreign word to him (and a foreign action)

1. Red Sox
2. Not a homer
3. Trying to find logic in Manny's decisions is dumber than some of Manny's decisions!

dang Britt...you beat me to it

1) Sox
2) Yes
3) I don't care, I love his swagger
4) It doesn't matter, because a group of umpires that are supposeudly good enough to call this PLAYOFF game, didn't get the call right in the first place. Besides, getting to second doesn't matter if Mike Lowell strikes out anyway.

to use the idiotic cliche "it was just Manny being Manny..." like the pose... he musta thot, "hey, the indians are winning. I just hit a homer. I used to play for the indians. Cleveland loves me. I should pose for them."

to answer your questions,
Tribe.
Didn't see the game.
He's not all there. but I man-love him anyway.

on the true side i am not think about no red sox game i am think about why mans love play over good females an why some famle let them get away with it

Indians. I don't know whether is was a homerun or not, I'm listening on the radio (my DVR only lets me record 2 shows at a time, and I can't watch a third, so CSI and the Office are recording and I'm listening to the game) but I can tell you even without seeing it, Manny is so full of himself that he has forgotten how to play the game. There is a reason why there is a coach at first base. His job is to tell you whether to keep running or whether you are out. There is no reason why you should be watching the ball once you hit it.

Sometimes, showboating trumps logic

Manny is a first ballot hall-of-famer, but he is a fool. All you need to know about him was when he played for Cleveland he looked up to the bizarre bully, Albert Belle. Anyone who would think for a second Belle had anything significant to add to society is an utter dope.

This play people can complain about. But you see, don't you, that he is a hitting machine, right? Britt brat is like a lot of people who are English only bigots and zootriot is on the 'everyone hate Manny so I do too' bandwagon. It was a bad play. Very bad. Name another? I can't. He's hitting like a genius and had one pretty good play in left as well. Some idiots think that he should speak English better than Joe Buck and that he should wear his hair like a presidential candidate but I don't see how that would make him a better player and he's playing like a machine.

I'm with the announcers. This is why I'm against replay in baseball. Even the camera couldn't tell you whether it was out or not. Why stop the game to guess anyway?

Hey, I'll stick up for any good player being maligned, including Manny. I'm rooting for the Indians however because I picked them to win it all before the season began.

These are the moments that I can't stand Manny. He can be such a killer to his team.

Same thing everyone with eyes thought, that it was a homerun.

indians,no it wasn't a homerun,and i don't know why he didn't run,to cocky

Indians. I bet all of you people that are saying the RedSux are going to win also said you would be playing the Skankees in the ALCS. Am I right? Tribe in 5. It's early!

He's high as hell ! Plus, like he said he doesn't care who wins..

He was thinking he had a HR...which he did

His actions are a disgrace to the spirit of the game. Good hitter yes but not respected. I'm pulling for the sox to watch them get run over by Colorado.

Britt Brat; nice pic, hon...now, back to Manny...he has no idea how to hustle. Twice he showed his lack of such in the game.

Red Sox...Yes, it was a HR...Manny has a way with knowing whether its going out(HR) or gonna be caught...He shouldn't have tried to go home when he was called out at the plate...

Indians
No it was a single because the arrogant idiot didn't run. Stupid is as stupid does.
Go Cleveland

I'm a Red Sox fan. Through the bone.

It was unquestionably a HOMERUN!

It doesn't matter if he ran or not. He should have been afforded the other 3 bases.

Don't pay attention to Tim McGraw. He's obviously a piece of bias garbage who shouldn't be acknowledged.

In any case, he could have been thrown out at second base given the circumstances.

And you know what? The SAME circumstances are now on the table for MANNY .500+. Lets see what happens with the guy everyone loves to HATE!

Keep on hating TRIPE fans. Get ready for Red Sox Nation.

Do you feel that Tsunami of momentum washing over your team and your fans? Fear and Loathing at Fenway, Babay!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Indians.

Indians
No

I don't know. I think he must have such a strong desire to watch his home runs that he forgot to run. That could have been big if Lowell had gotten a hit.

red sox. and that's just manny
being manny. go sox!

im so thankful i understand manny, but it takes alot of pot.

Some of you people are clueless.

"He isn't even all that great a player" <---- you obviously know nothing about the game, and what makes a player great.

"Plus, like he said he doesn't care who wins" <---- nothing like putting words in someone's mouth. Please show me the quote where he said he didn't care who wins. If you can't, then stop misrepresenting facts.
.

Hi, I hAVE to humor you. Manny is also the name of my broinlaw - and I don't know what he was thinking.

Joke only. I really donno who you're talking about. Sorry.

Indians. It wasn't a homerun, it hit the line. Replay shows it.

And third... because its Manny and he's an idiot.

he's dumb for saying what he said yesterday anyway, and he isn't even all that great of a player. go red sox! did you see that sad attempt at recovering a foul ball? god, they need to learn to call it, and whoever doesnt call it needs to get out of the way.

The guy is a friggin retard he couldn't spell cat if you spot him the c&t.By the way it wasn't a HR the umps got it right, imagine that? I hope the Tribe ends this Manny show-boating tonight. He didn't run because he in his infinate wisdom thought it was gone, thats the first thing he did wrong was THINK
