That's the beauty of Cincinnati Knothole over many of the other youth baseball leagues - we encourage young ladies to play baseball!

My first year as head coach I had 3 girls, ranging from 5-to-7 years old. Last year, unfortunately, that number dropped to 2, but our attendance rose in the other age brackets. Now that we are going to start a "minor league system" for the kids under 6, I hope to bring more female interest into the game and pray that they stay with it long enough to break the gender barrier and play professional baseball in the established minor and major leagues!

haha I don't want to PLAY .. I want to MANAGE! .. I have always thought I know how to get it done! Even when I was 13 I was talking to the television telling Tommy Lasorda how to do his job! My boys are both in Pony Ball now and I even write my husband's lineup before the games because I just know I make better decisions !

Since I don't play sports I would prefer to be the GM of a team, I think I could get a WS back in LA! :]
