Bottom 9, 2 outs, tie game.......who do you want at the plate?

One Current and one old player

Current player-Albert Pujols--Just ask Brad Lidge

Older Player-Mr. Babe Ruth

well his manager didn't think so for the All-Star game Report It

Sorry, I hate the Red Sox but I'd have to go with David Ortiz. That guy has ICE in his veins!

Jermaine Dye, Hank Aaron.

Current: Manny Ramirez, Albert Pujols, or David Ortiz
Past: Babe Ruth or Mickey Mantle

well Alex Rodriguez and babe Ruth

Current: David Ortiz, not doing too well this season, but you know how it is with all them walk-offs.

Past: Ty Cobb

david ortiz and babe ruth

Tony Gwynn- will gets something going. great under pressure and excellent hitter to all fields.

Ichiro- best hitter in the game and like gwynn can cause all kinds of problems. and if this guy gets on it makes it easier for whoeevr hits next.

i go for all round guys with two outs. HR guys K alot. I mean you can say Papi or arod or pujols and yes they have been clutch in there careers but too bad there isnt a stat for when they dont win the game in clutch situations.

David Eckstein- Good Contact Hitter
Ozzie Smith- Also Good Contact Hitter

Derek. Reggie. Captain Clutch and Mister October.

present jeter nobody can be more clutch, sure ortiz is good but he will hit a homerun 2 out of 10 times while jeter will get on base at least 8 out of those 10 and past joe carter do i have to say more 1993 walk off world series

Ryan Howard , Hank Aron

If I want to win.... David Ortiz
If I want to lose...Alex "never had a clutch playoff hit in my life" Rodriguez

past: David Ortiz.....sorry, he IS clutch
past to lose.....aaron boone or bucky dent

Luis Sojo.

Mighty Casey, then and now.

Today I would want Albert Pujols. Yesterday, Ted Williams.

current - big papi
old - babe ruth

Derek jeter or hank aaron.

Current- Derek Jeter
Old- Babe Ruth

David Ortiz cause he probably has the most walk off hits/homers and he's a clutch hitter. And Lou Gehrig.

this year--Alex Rodriguez easilly....i mean look at his stats this year: 35 HR, 102 RBI, .311 average with at least 3 walkoffs and a walk off grand slam and a walk off 3 run shot.

Past: David Ortiz.....haha lmao sorry sox fans but Ortiz is a bum. he has 0 HR and 0 RBI when the sox are either tied or down by 1 run in the 9 th inning this year. Your Mr. Clutch is now the A-Rod of 2006. (And A-Rod is now the Ortiz of 2003 -2006)

DE-REK!!! JE-TER!!!

and

Babe Ruth?

Alex Rodriguez and the Babe....=)

GO YANKEES!! =)

Current - Jeter
Old - Rose

now the best player in baseball A-Rod
past babe ruth he was so much better than the players he played against.

Alex Rodriguez. He's been ridiculously clutch this season

At the plate? Hmmm.......Rickey Henderson. He can bunt for a hit, steal second, then third, and the next guy can get a hit up the middle. Okay, okay, I would really want Hammerin' Hank up.

Albert Pujols and Hank Aaron

Current: Big Papi, David Ortiz
Retired: Carl Yastrzemski

What's with you guys and all the sluggers ? I want a contact hitter up in that situation
Jeter for today and just to be different George Brett for yesterday

Yankees fan here and there is no one more clutch than Big Papi....I hate to admit it.

DiMaggio would be my pick for 'old' player...not gonna go with Williams..one Red Sox player pick is enough!

Carl Crawford and hank Arron
