It's a tough question to answer because lots of players are good defenders at different positions. If I had to choose the best defender, I'd choose Torii Hunter.

i dont care how many good throws or catches ichiro and torii hunter always make, you gotta look at stats.

and this guy has played in 122 games and is yet to commit an error. in fact, his streak stretches about 40 games into last season! this guy has been a perfect second baseman for an entire year!
