Most expensive baseball player?

Alex Rodriguez "A-Rod" has signed in February 2004 the richest contract in sports history, $252,000,000 for a 10 years deal with the Yankees.

probably roger clemens, considering he makes about 35,000 dollars per out he makes.

Carl Pavano

considering how many innings he's pitched.... his salary is quadruple what A-Rod's is

Alex Rodriguez is in the midst of a 10-year, $252M contract, which averages out to $25M per year; his actual salary in '06 was $26M (excluding incentives), as the payments are even throughout the contract.

I believe Roger Clemens was 2nd - his annual salary in '06 was $22M (though, since he didn't start playing until June, his actual earnings were less than that).

it has to be A-Rod..........or should i say A-Rip off......

BabeRuth

In todays dollars, Babe Ruth was probably more expensive than A-Rod. Imagine Babe's salary of $100,000 today.

It's Alex Rodriguez who makes about 252 Million dollars over 10 years.

agreed... A-ROD, who i might say lou pinella wants b/c hes a free agent and pinellla used t ocoach hte cubs

If Johan Santana was a free agent, it would be hard to put a price on him.

Alex Rodr铆guez's record salary deal was announced in December of 2000.
252 million over 10 years with the Texas Rangers
