What player (in their prime) would you most like to have on your team? Any player at all, no restrictions, what player?

I would have to go with Willie Mays, Ty Cobb, or Walter Johnson. Mays was maybe the greatest athlete to play, Cobb probably the best pure hitter (career .366 average is higher than one season for almost every other player), and Walter Johnson would've likely won more games than Young had he not played for Washington.

They were all great players. And Joe Jackson would've been amazing had he not been banned. (.356 career average) He would undoubtedly been in the hall of fame.

Also, Josh Gibson was probably the greatest home run hitter of all time. (Yes, better than Ruth, Aaron and Bonds)

he could field, hit for power, average, he had some speed, and was an RBI machine

Hank Aaron. He was a very consistent player. He could do it with the bat, the glove, and also a good runner.

mickey mantle, he had it all, the true meaning of a 5 tool player, he was extremely fast, lefty, extreme power, was the best player ever until he hurt his knee.
