| So, is the Dusty Baker signing a good thing for the Reds? If the front-office doesnt spend money to add? |

players, won't they still be the same ole sucky team next season? |

I feel sorry for you Red's fans. Dusty Baker is not a class act. He used to hide behind his kid! He actually played the "I got sent racist hate mail" card a few times! His favorite answer was stupid things like"I don't know dude, ask Derrick Lee about Derrick Lee". |

I am a diehard Reds fan and hope Baker will bring something good to this team. They better keep players and add payroll. This team has potential if the right thing is done. Great for the Reds because Baker is a class act, but I am not sure how good it will be for Baker. A lot of teams don't play money ball and do all right. Dusty Baker, if you'll recall, lost his job because Derek Lee and a lot of other players were injured. The Reds have made a dang good move to get him. Even if they don't Steinbrenner the free agent market they will improve. He has managed veteran teams mostly, it'll be interesting on how he handles what will be an influx of young talent for the Reds in the next season or two. He has a tendency to have a short leash with youngsters. Yes they will. Ah Dusty to the Reds... Now he can take the whole gang out in Cincy for pizza parties and bowling night and catch up on his much needed naps in the dugout. Maybe it will put butts in the seats for a change. Wins haven't done it. Homeruns haven't done it. Possibly this will get them more than a pathetic 24k a night! |
