It's pitiful if Joe Torre is fired just because his big money players always choke in the playoffs. Shouldn't the General Manager be fired instead of Joe Torre?

i dont think they choked. who had the better record. indians. they just played a better team..the media built them up as being better than they were this year. indians has better team.that being said and also me being a die hard indians fan, i can say if george fires torre, i think some players will leave also. a lot of players contracts up this year. if torres gone i think they will not re-sign with yankees..it was not torres fault. he made no bad decisions...same thing happened to my indians in 95 strong bats got beat by better pitching....

How can you call them Chokers?? 12 years in a row in the playoffs,alot of teams would LOVE to take there place.They just got beat by the better TEAM.Just because you LOSE doesn't mean you choked,sometimes the better team WINS

I would not be surprised if George Michael Steinbrenner III often known as "The Boss", fired the entire team!!! Brian Cashman is under the gun....him Torre and A-Rod are going to get thrown under the 4 train!!!!

The Yankees are not chokers it is Don Mattingly he is a jinx...They did not win when he was playing the year after he retired they win it all plus 3 more....He comes back as a part of Torres coaching staff they cant buy a win in the post season..

I think a lot of their players are a) too old (hellooooo clemens) and b) way over paid. They have these so called "superstars" who play for themselves and their ridiculous salary, they don't play as a team. I also think that the GM should be axed, I think Joe Torre should quit. Even as an Indians fan I will admit the man has got tallent and he is a class act and will be a great manager to a team that apprecaites REAL talent not just "the hype".
I wouldn't say they choked, they played a great game against a better team that wanted it more. End of story.

biggest chokers??? i dont understand why? they tried their hardest. they made a really good play for the world series. it just didnt work out. there was a better team. the indians are a good team. great pitching. young bats coming out swinging. leanr the definition of choke, kinda like the mets. people need to lay off the yankees. the players dont make the deals. the players play their hardest to win and sometimes they come up short just like every other team. deal with it. we pay them more money. its just business.
