No. The postseason has its own awards, and I am firmly against the "MVP must come from a playoff team" meme. That approach is intellectually lazy (which is probably why voting sportswriters like it, but...) and is an abusive disservice to players who put up great seasons while saddled with lesser teammates.

No, I do not think that the awards should include the postseason. Only eight of the teams make playoffs. Therefore, a player like Chris Young could not have received the Cy Young Award because the Padres did not make the playoffs. It is fair as it is and it shouldn't be changed
