| Do you think awards such as the MVP and Cy Young should also include the Postseason? |

If, and ONLY if, the top two candidates for either award were both performing in the postseason? It's really difficult to apply that rule only on seasons where the top two being considered are there for the playoffs, but would you consider something like that, or simply want the MVP year to be based on the 162 game-regular season? |

No. The postseason has its own awards, and I am firmly against the "MVP must come from a playoff team" meme. That approach is intellectually lazy (which is probably why voting sportswriters like it, but...) and is an abusive disservice to players who put up great seasons while saddled with lesser teammates. |

Well yes and no, no being these awards are made so its even for everybody. Everyone is judged on their performance during the 162 game season, Thats y they have playoff MVPS, the only real reason they keep it like this is for fairness this year yes because when beckett wins 2 games in the alcs, it will shut up his haters and sabathia lovers. no. not all candidates make it to the postseason No, I think that they should keep it the way it is. No, I do not think that the awards should include the postseason. Only eight of the teams make playoffs. Therefore, a player like Chris Young could not have received the Cy Young Award because the Padres did not make the playoffs. It is fair as it is and it shouldn't be changed no |
