Did you know the reason why Matt Holliday was safe?

Blocking the plate?
Michael Barret was blocking the plate, but Matt Holliday was DOWN. He was on the ground and he missed the plate. By the way, good job ump, you ended the Padres playoff hopes. Anyway, I think it's safe to say that Matt was in no condition a
In Baseball, Why does the home plate umpire point to signify a strike?
Back about a hundred years ago, there was a deaf baseball player named Dummy Hoy (no, I'm not making up that name--they were a lot less PC back then). In order to let him know what the ump had called, the ump would signal a strike with his r

3rd: No
4th: No players shift around for certain hitters and sometimes in games teams pull and outfielder into the infield to try and sto
Joba Chamberlain hes amazing?
Actually it was his 22nd birthday not his 23rd. Anyway, my personal opinion on Joba is that he is flat out amazing. Look for him to be the successor to MO as the Yankee closer. In fact, MO use to be a starter and switched to a closer b/c Wetlan
Baseball ruling question..what's the correct call?
Yes, the runner coming home scores at the plate as he reached home before the runner at first was out. If it had been a ground ball and a double play had occurred, then the runner would not have scored.
Baseball Rules!!!!!!?
