How do I start a Minor League Baseball Booster Club?

I am looking to help start a booster club for the Connecticut Defenders (the AA Affilate of the San Francisco Giants) What does a boosterclub need, what are a boosterclubs by-laws, and what does a booster club fully do. And what can they do for a minor baseball team?
