I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions for me because I am a girl and tried out for my freshman baseball team but didnt make it. Im pretty sure the coaches dont think Im serious. They had all the softball coaches and varsity team captain talk to me.
I then tried outfor softball and was automatically put on varsity. I quit after 2 weeks because it was easy and i hated it. I can pitch in the 70s and hit pretty well so i can actually play. I am going to talk to him if i can try out again but dont know what to say. i need to convince him that im not a joke.

you need to tell him " hi coach _______, i was wondering about the baseball team, and i would very much love to join. Although you may think i am not that much of a good player, i would like to show you what i can do, and what my strategies are, i can pitch, _________......., so i really want you to think this over because i think i am a really good player...thank you for your time." and if you want, demonstrate him......on what you can do....like you said you are a good pitcher. thanks...:D

not trying to be rude but they did make baseball for guys and softball for girls for a reason.

If they won't let you on the team try out for a travel baseball team.That should be somewhat challenging and you should be able to make the team if you are that good.Guess if I were a Girl that would irritate me.

just tell him your are a competitive kind of person and you want to win....just tell him you are here to be serious and can help the team become better and maybe win some games.

Hey, if you think softball is easy and you can pitch in the 70's, you dont need baseball. Go for a softball career. If you're that good, maybe you'll hit the jackpot in softball with a record contract. A couple years ago, Tony Graziani made 700,000. making him the highest paid player in Arena Football. You never know what can come. Maybe you'll get to the US Softball team.

If your school offers softball the baseball coach does not hve to let you even try out for the team. Title IX only states the gender equality on basis of offerings is required. You may love playing baseball and may be better at it but it is sadly going to be your only option.
