| Is Joe Girardi going to be the next coach of the New York Yankees? |
|
Yes he will, it's a done deal. The reason he turned down the offer to manage the Orioles is beacuse he thought he'd have a chance to manage the Yanks after Torre is gone. |

You mean the next Manager of the Yankees? He was a bench coach for several years until he left to manage the Marlins last year. Will he be the next Yankees Manager? 50/50 chance. It will either be himself or Donnie Baseball, Don Mattingly. But I think Joe Torre will be there for at least 2-3 more years and retire at age 70. He's 67 now. Will Girardi be another bench coach next year for the Yankees? No, he'll either manage a team, or he will remain working as a Yankee broadcaster. No. While Joe has history with the Yankees, he's no Yankee. for his sake i would hope not. Well, maybe. Don Mattingly will manage if they fire Torre and he might hire Girardi as a coach. |
