does he have a phone? if so, he should call city hall and they can point him in the right direction.

Well, without knowing the right people, it will be hard for him. If the season has already started, I suggest he go to a couple of games. He needs to talk with some of the coaches, and ask questions. He should be able to find out who to talk to. If he is lucky, he may get a assistant coaching job out of it. If he sticks with it, may get a full time coaching job. Just talk to a couple coaches, and that should get you started.

I would search around for local leagues and go to a few games and try to talk to coaches or parents and find out who is in charge of the league and talk to him. He could probably find a team for your boyfriend by getting his name out to all of the teams in the league and finding out what's available as far as who have an open spot for an additional coach.
