Should i capitalize "major leagues" (as in baseball)?

No. It is not being used as a proper noun-just the typical adjective-noun combination, just the same as "minor leagues". Also, there are other extinct leagues considered to be "major leagues" by baseball historians/statheads besides MLB.

look at the papers or magazines.
