Do you think the Colorado Rockies will win the 2007 World Series?

A Cinderella Story or a Fluke?

Now I know they were tied for last in their division last year and that now they've won 21 out of 22 games BUT....

If you compare this to NFL last year the New Orleans Saints went to the NFC Conference Championship Match with like a 10-6 record and lost in the Conference but it was a huge improvement compared to the year before when they were the second last team in the league with a 3-13 record HOWEVER...

Now they are playing horrible football and are 1-4 so might this just happen to the Rockies and be a good season on the verge of descending.

Even if they are a fluke, they are a Cinderella story. In a short series, anything can happen. No one picked them even with a week to go in the season, and here they are. Do I think they will win? No, but I won't die of shock if they do.

I just so happened to pick Cleveland to win it all on the morning of the first day of the season. So, since I rarely am ever right, I have to stick with my pick. If they get in, that is.

Rockies will win the World Series! I have no doubt about it and to compare the MLB with the NFL should not be considered an issue. These are two different sports and the Saints were finally not called the "Aint's" by New Orleans fans after the devastation of Katrina. If you live through something so tragic as Katrina, you are going to play your heart out and the truth is that the Saints don't have what it takes to keep the momentum going.
Clearly there is no fluke with the Rockies winning 21 of 22 games!

Don't compare statistics On paper New york and Boston look better than Cleveland. Maybe tghe Rockies too. There is something that can not be put down on paper and that is "Heart" and Cleveland has it Cleveland will rock the Rockies out of their bid You see Cleveland Rocks

The way they are playing now they might. But the A.L. will have home field advantage.

They have a 50% chance.

No.

if they're facing Red Sox, it's 65-35%, for Boston, supposedly they eventually escape from 3-1 deficit and carry the momentum in World Series.

if they're facing Indians, it's a 50-50%... Both teams are hoping for World series title.....and they do deserve it.

Considering that not many people gave these two teams a Chinaman's chance, I'd say a true Cinderella story for Colorado. Check out the odds makers in Vegas.
And how far behind the Yankees, Red Sox and Tigers was Cleveland on that pole? Way down.
It would be nice to see these two get their chance.

Noooo Indians are guna crush em i reckon!!

GO INDIANS!!

This is NOT a fluke. You don't win 21 of 22 games and called a fluke. Maybe late bloomers or a team that caught fire at the perfect time (like last year's World Champs) but they are a good TEAM. Baseball is harder to be a "fluke" anyways. You have best of 5 and best of 7 series, it isn't just one game.

I really think the Rockies can win it all.

I think you really need to consider the playoff facts. Colorado got in on a playoff match and beat two teams that got into the playoff in the last 3 days of the season.

Cleveland beat NY and (will beat) Boston, who had little doubt that they would make it in early September.

Colorado has a decent #1 starter, but their #2 is 10-9 with an era of 4.94.

I think many people look at the streak and the 7-0 playoff record and didn't actually see the fairly weak teams that they beat.

Indians in 5

The Rockies have been the hottest team in baseball, and in recent history this past couple of months. But the 8 day delay will hurt them, and I think they won't win.

I am pulling for them, though. They are really impressive in their approach.

if they verse cleveland they win the world series

if they verse boston, the red sox win the world series

This layoff is not good.
Have to see the frist game if they are sharp. Or just dead from all the down tme.

I don't mind if they win,but I would like to see the Indians win also.
I do believe the long 9 day wait is going to hurt them just like the long wait hurt the Tigers in last year's World Series.

Nope Rockies suck

Colorado vs Cleveland - Cleveland in five.
Colorado vs Boston - Colorado in seven.

Yes. It is hard to ague with a team that has won 21 of the last 22 games. The only concern I have is that they are off for a long time until the Series starts and it could hurt momentum. The Rockies are the best hitting team in baseball so I do not think it is a fluke.

No... thanks for asking.

No, I am sorry, its nice they have such a nice story, but the Indians are gonna do it this year. We are due! We can't let another expansion team take our glory from us. We will do it this year.

No the Red Sox will win
