What a surprise, the Cleveland Indians starting pitcher, Paul Byrd, just got busted for purchasing around?

$25,000 worth of HGH, human growth hormone, from 2002-2005, and 100's of syringe needles. Nothing shocks me anymore. After the feel good story of the summer, lowly pitcher turned power hitter Rick Ankiel got busted, I have become desensitized towards this. They should kick out all of these juicers and the league should suspend Byrd for the rest of the playoffs, even though HGH wasn't illegal at the time he used it, you agree?

I've already contacted MLB with my complaint. These dopers shouldn't be allowed to play. I have no confidence that the Indians won any of their games in a fair manner with Paul Byrd, or even have the right to go to the World Series if they beat the Sox tonight. If the Indians go to the series, I won't be watching.

For all those saying it was with a doctor's prescription:
"The Chronicle, citing an anonymous law enforcement source, said two of Byrd's prescriptions for growth hormone were not written by a physician."

I guess we don't have to worry. Cleveland lost. They didn't deserve to be there anyway. Report It

man.....baseball is not as fun as it use to be anymore....thanks to all these "juicers".

why?? these are used in horses for racing, should we arrest the horses? why shouldn't people be allowed to enhance their bodies to perform better?

if they have proof than they should suspend him, qwe don't want that kind of player on our team.

I know i heard this 9:00am this morning,I was in a total state of shock! I couldn't belive this! I never in a million yrs dreamed, Byrd did this! After the WS there's gonna be a list of names of BB players that did steriods, and some of the people's name's on that list, is supposed to shock alot of people!

I dont agree. What would you do if a doctor prescribed a medicine for rehab if it wasn't a banned substance? I would follow doctor recommendation. Why? Because I dont know anything about medicine, but I would assume my doctor would. You look at these players being accused and it always seems that it is for rehab. So really the doctors are the ones to blame.

What an odd time for this to come up....Hmmm.

No,it wasn't illegal so why suspend him

I'm with you. I get so saddened by all the good things in baseball being ruined by $$$. Anytime a good feeling starts to arise, down comes Damacle's sword. I am beginning to rethink my position on baseball. A lifetime fan, the game is such a money zoo that it seems only politicians and gangsters work there. Shoot. By which I don't mean shoot.
