Even if Verlander doesnt win rookie of the year, it wont matter.

If it were today, Liriano. But I think that Verlander will end up overtaking him by the end of the season. Leyland seems to be pacing Verlander well (he just rested him the other day), whereas the Twins will needs every start they can get out of Liriano (who the Tigers just shelled tonight) to have a chance of catching Detroit.

Update - well, there you go. The Twins overused him and now he's going on the DL. Assuming Leyland can continue to pace Verlander, he'll be the ROY... but Liriano will have a better career if he can stay healthy.

Why no talk about Papelbon? I would not give it to him, but hes a media darling, big buzz, no era to speak off.

In the AL, it will be a toss between Justin Verlander (Pitcher for Detroit) and Fransico Liriano (Pitcher for the Twins)...in the National League, I believe it will come down to either Ryan Zimmerman (3rd base for Nationals) & Andre Ethier (OF for Dodgers)

Liranian has the sickest stuff in baseball and Verlander throws 100mph so honestly baseball wont lose anything with choosing on of these two guys but it will definetly come down to who finishes stronger, my vote is for Liriano if he gets his form back and does what he did in the beginning of the season.
