My Son's team has played 9 games, and only 1 of those games were called fair. The umpires are taking types of bribes from the other team Moms. Food, drinks etc.. I have complained along with many others to the head of the association, but nothing is being done. What's the next step?

I suggest taking an active role in organizing, training and developing the leagues umpires. Its sounds as though the Little League has chosen to pay an association to umpire the leagues games. If that's the case you will need to get involved with the association and work your way into training the members.

If all fails, present your Little League Board of Directors with other options for umpires. My league uses a youth program (paid), its augmented by volunteer adult umpires for the 90' games. We are in the 2nd year of running our own umpire program. We consider our 1st year a success, the 2nd year isn't looking to bad either.

The umpire labor budget is significantly less when using the youth umpires. Granted you do have a learning curve and you may not get the so called "experienced" umpires, but the kids will grow and your program will flourish in 3-4 years. I am not saying its easy, you need support from all the league members (parents, managers, players etc.)

Start realizing is it just a game and those umpires were doing the best they could. They are volunteers and doing your son and the other kids a favor by donating their time. Grow up and enjoy the game.

well you could beat up the umps like some other parents do. it makes for good news lol....but no seriously....they need to get different umpires. could you possibly get a petition to get new umpires, or volunteer to be one???

change leagues. join the baseball board of directors and try to change the umpires association. they are paid umpires in our area. if they are volunteers try volunteering as an umpire yourself.

I've dealt with everything from unfair play time to unfair umpires for 14 years and it really sucks when you try to explain why the umpires make the wrong calls when your children know the rules better than the umpires. the more you argue the worse it will get. so unless you are willing to take on some of the responsibility just be quite and try to enjoy the game.

Start getting evidence. By that, i mean start video taping the games at different angles. Show the commitee whats wrong. There's nothing better than instant replay.

What kind of example are you setting.?

Simple solution: if you can do better, become an umpire.

Start baking cookies. If you think its so easy why dont you become an umpire instead of complaining that your kids team is being cheated.

If you are hot and put out thats gotta be worth more than some cookies the other teams give them.

Are you a MILF??? If so, then start dressing hot/sexy. Flirt with the umpires, seduce them into making bad calls for the other team. Whenever they make a call in your favor, reward them with a little flash. Showing skin always is persuasive.
Now the problem might be that the other team might have hotter moms. If so then import hot looking friends.
If the problem continues to exist after taking the corrective action above, then make either hash brownies or brownies with exlax in them. You will then have the last laugh.
Enojoy the rest of the season and remember......wearing less is better.

well, first of all make sure that you are not taking it too seriously. It's all in good fun, and you should not care that much if your son wins or loses. i would maybe see the other parents enboled in the team and maybe they can together potition to the association? Good Luck!

quit bitching. it sounds as if your kids team lost 8 games and won once and you are unhappy about that. don't blame the umpires. saying that little league umpires are taking bribes is probably the most ridiculous thing that I have ever heard. Please be mature enough not to let the children see you acting like a child.
