Who are the best current setup men in Major League Baseball?

Now that Tom Gordon is closing, he's off the list. The only person I can really think of right now is Mike Timlin.

Padres' Scott Linebrink would have to be on a list with Mike Timlin, Scott Shield, Kiko Calero, maybe Tigers' Ferdinand Rodney. Danys Baez was supposed to fill that role for the Dodgers, but Gagne got hurt. Yankees have had some success with Scott Proctor. Majewski on Washington. You are right, that there is a very shaky bridge between the starter and the closer on most teams.

check out kiko calero on the Oakland A's. That guy seems to be lights out.

scott shields of anaheim is sickkk.

duaner sanchez of the mets

mike timlin!
