What is the major league record for most outs in 1 inning?

7

There have been many 4 out half inning, but it's never happened more than once in a full inning (top and bottom). Hence, 7 is the correct answer.
.

6 lmao

um.. shouldn't this be in the jokes and riddles section?

I'm having trouble understanding what exactly you are asking. Could you be a little more specific?

my guess would be 6 but i'm not sure if the rule has always been 3 outs per team.

6....it happens every inning....
Not sure what you are asking in that question...

9,700,653 outs I do believe

it could be unlimited. if the 3rd pitch strike is dropped the runner can run to first. The record is 4 in one half inning which has happend multiple times, so most likely the most its 8 outs.

In one full inning? Or half an inning? I remember a few years back when Mariners closer Kaz Sasaki struck out 4 batters in one inning of relief work. So I'll say 4 by one pitcher in one inning of work. So 7 in total for a full inning??

Two teams with three outs each equals a total of six outs per inning.

Six.

When a batter misses strike three it does not count as an out. It is simply a strikeout with batter advancing to first on either a i) wild pitch, or ii) passed ball.

One inning can have as few as three outs, and up to six. You can not have more than six outs per inning, nor can you have more than three outs per half inning. It the home team is winning going into the bottom of the ninth, only three outs were recorded that inning (by the visiting team). If the home team takes the lead with one out in the ninth, then it is four outs, take the lead with two outs, then 5 outs were recorded in the inning. If the home team ties or loses, then 6 outs were recorded.

So, the most outs that can be recorded in an inning is six. A strikeout with batter advancing to first by wild pitch or passed ball IS NOT an out. Just like if an outfielder catches a ball with two outs and throws to a base to "double up" the runner or a fielder turns a double play with two outs. It is three outs, not four. The hitter is charged with hitting into a fielders choice, not grounding into a double play.

6 but it could also be 7 just in case one ball gets away..lol..

6.

A dropped strikeout counts as a K, but not an out, so you can't have more than 3 in a half. Just like an error on the DP, you can't assume the out.
