I'm a Bostonian interested in stadium architecture and want to know what is to become of the current Yankee Stadium when the new one is completed. Is it to be demolished or preserved, either partially or completely? I like to avoid the whole Red Sox, Yankee nonsense so just give info. and no comments, please. |

It is not being torn down. They are removing everything except the fencing and dugouts, then they are turning it into a High School field, and reducing the amount of seating. |

i think it will be preserved but i'm not for sure.....i hope so!! i think they will but rumor has it it's gonna be gone :[ Unfortunetly the rumor is that it will be torn down. |
