There was a pitcher back in like 1905 who pitched 624 innings, isn't that just amazing?

I saw the statistics on MLB.com I didn't know it was possible for a pitcher to pitch that many innings in one season.WOW!!!

I wouldn't be suprised if it was someone like Cy Young Christy Mathewson or Walter Johnson that did that. This is just a perfect example of how better the ballplayer of yesteryear was. Today's pitchers are wusses & spoiled brats who cry after throwing 90 pitches.

Actually, no pitcher has thrown over 600 innings in one season since Bill Hutchison in 1892. At that time most teams had only 2 or 3 pitchers who would pitch (and complete) every game. And before 1885, ptichers threw underhanded, almost like slow-pitch softball pitchers.

I can't remember too well off the top of my head but somebody named Will White(could be wrong name)threw 750 innings in 1876. That's incredible.
